Lynn
William Boldt, age 66 of Stanton, Lynn passed away at his home in
Stanton on Tuesday April 26, 2011. He was born in Norfolk, Nebraska on
April 8, 1945 to William Boldt and Eloise (Pitzer) Boldt of Stanton.
Lynn was life-long resident of Stanton Nebraska, where he was a
dedicated Father, Coach, Loving Grandfather, and had a great love for
the outdoors.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stanton
and graduated from Stanton High School in 1963 and attended Norfolk
Junior College. In his younger years his passion was farming with his
father and Uncle Ed Pitzer. Lynn worked for Stanton Public School for
over twenty years and retired in 2008. He also, held other positions
working for the Norfolk Daily News, and Bodwell Construction.
After retiring from Stanton High School in 2008, he continued to be
active in supporting Stanton High School athletics. He operated the game
clock for varsity football games and regularly attended boys and girls
basketball games. Coached the Stanton 18 and under girls Fast Pitch
team, on which all of his daughters played to win the 1986 Class-C State
Runner-Up Title, Coached the same team to win 3rd place in the 1987
Class-B State Fast Pitch Tournament.
In
2003, Lynn started Two Forks Recreation which offered guided pheasant
hunts behind his personally trained German Shorthair Pointers. By 2010,
Lynn had successfully grown his business and was raising and releasing
more than 1200 pheasants per year.
Lynn is survived by his daughter Lori Kellen of Lincoln Ne, daughter
Kathy Goger and son-in-law Jeff Goger both of Stanton Ne., daughter
Betty Boldt of Scottsdale, Az., and his son Randall Boldt and
daughter-in-law Missy (Starkel) both of Omaha, Ne. He is also survived
by his five grandchildren, Christopher Kellen, Mickayla and Cade Goger
and Emma and Audrey Boldt.
